Dr. Qureshi is executive director, Zeenat Qureshi Institutes, and professor of Neurology at University of Missouri, Columbia. He has written over 670 scientific publications in prestigious journals including the New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet, Archives of Internal Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, Neurology, American Journal of Medicine, and Circulation. In addition, he has made over 2000 presentations in various national and international meetings. He has served as an invited speaker at numerous national and international forums. He has also been invited as visiting professor to universities in the United States and abroad. He is the editor of several textbooks and serves on editorial boards for several peer-review journals. He was the principal investigator of a large multinational clinical trial funded by National Institutes of Health. He has travelled extensively and written about Ebola virus disease epidemic after his visit to West Africa during the epidemic. His group led the study on Ebola virus disease survivors. He was also the editor for book on Zika virus disease. He laid the foundation of the Zeenat Qureshi Institutes in several countries including United States, China, Guinea, and Turkey. Since its inauguration, the institutes have led the way in cutting edge research in epidemiology, clinical trials, and basic research.
Dr. Omar Saeed graduated from medical school in Pakistan after which he pursued his interest in the field of medicine focusing on neurology and neuroimaging. He was given the opportunity to work with Dr. Adnan Qureshi at the Zeenat Qureshi Stroke Institute where he worked as a clinical research fellow. His main interests were stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage and neuroimaging among others. During his time at the stroke institute Dr. Saeed has co-authored several scientific publications in prestigious journals including Journal of Neurosurgery, Journal of Cerebrovascular disease, Journal of Neuroimaging and Journal of Vascular and Interventional Neurology. He was also given the opportunity to present at both national and international forums including the International Stroke Conference and The World Masters China Tour and Neuro Interventional International Forum. Furthermore Dr. Saeed has co-authored numerous research abstracts accepted to both the International Stroke Conference and the American Academy of Neurology Conference. His future hopes are to continue focusing on both the clinical and research side of medicine.
Dr. Uzma Syed is a TEDx speaker, author, infectious diseases and global health expert, and leader who speaks in media and conferences on both a national and global scale. She has led during the COVID-19 pandemic in her medical field, health system, local community, as well as for the broad Muslim community as the infectious disease expert on the National Muslim COVID-19 Task Force. She is a fellow of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) AU:2 and was selected to be a part of the IDSA leadership Institute. Dr. Syed sits on numerous national committees including IDSA's Inclusion, Diversity, Access & Equity Task Force as well as their Value Based Compensation Task Force. Dr. Syed was selected to serve on the Sepsis Alliance's board of directors and cochairs the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion committee of the Sepsis Alliance. She has been working with the Biden administration to promote vaccine and health equity as an executive member of Faiths4Vaccines and has partnered with USAID. She is passionate about education and mentorship and is the founder/CEO of Align Us, a youth career mentorship organization. She also leads The Eid Holiday Coalition, which provides resources and tools for communities to obtain Eid holidays in schools across the nation. Dr. Syed has been recognized as a trailblazer by many local, state, and national organizations for her work, including being presented with the prestigious national Muslim woman leadership award in the company of her excellency Emine Erdogan the first lady of Turkiye. Her humanitarian work has spanned from refugee resettlements to soup kitchens/toy drives. Dr. Syed gave the keynote address at the University of New England's White Coat Ceremony for the class of 2026. Dr. Syed also shared her expertise at the 9th Annual Abu Dhabi Forum for Peace among global leaders and diplomats regarding global health, climate change, and food insecurities.
