Corona discharge is responsible for considerable power losses from high voltage transmission lines and often leads to deterioration of the insulation material by the action of the bombarding the surface and the action of the chemical components that are formed by the discharge. Investigation of the corona discharge is not only for the theoretical studies, but also for the industrial applications (such as high speed printers and electrostatic spray and painting ete.). In the book, the obtained experimental results of coaxial and paraxial systems are used and compared with the theoretical (analytical and numerical) computations. Mehmet ZILE was born in Ankara, Turkey, 1970. He received the B.Sc. from University of Yildiz, the M.Sc. degrees from University of Gazi and the Ph.D. degree from University of Yildiz, all in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, in 1992, 1999, and 2004, respectively. Currently, he is a Assistant Professor of UTIYO at University of Mersin.
