The "Wand," a CCLADS, has been developed as a possible means of eliminating injection pain. The purpose of this investigation was to provide a well-controlled empirical evaluation of the effectiveness of the primary intraligamentary injection administered with CCLADS for reducing the pain and discomfort experienced by children during local injections and dental procedures.
