Brazil stands out as one of the world's largest producers of food, especially fruit. Paradoxically, however, Brazil's share of fruit exports is still relatively low, considering the size of its production. The aim of this book is to analyze the competitiveness of Brazilian fruit exports to the European market, thus identifying the important factors that have influenced these exports. The following crops were selected for this study: mango, grape, papaya and melon. The Constant Market Share (CMS) model was applied from 1990 to 2009 and the Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCV) model from 2000 to 2009. Throughout the research, several meetings with managers of Brazilian companies exporting to this market were tabulated.
