This novel is based on the author's discovery of a single suspect in the cold case murder of Tracy Neef. As Benish--a detective--delves into the case, he discovers possible links to not only the Neef crime scene, but also the Alie Berrelez and JonBenet crime scenes.
This novel is based on the discovery of a single suspect when in 1993 the author (a detective) opens the cold case murder of Tracy Neef. This murder occurred in 1984. To the authors surprise there is a clear suspect that had been questioned in 1984, but erroneously categorized as having an alibi. The author weeds through old case files and discovers how the investigation was hampered with confusion, mistakes and lack of expertise. There is microscopic evidence that indicates the perpetrator might be a welder. This suspects occupation was as a welder. The author learns that there are similar welding particles left behind in other cases. The author interviews the suspect who lies when asked key questions. The author discovers that the suspects previous arrests and sightings put him in close proximity to the Tracy Neef, Alie Berrelez, and JonBenet crime scenes. On July 9th 2008 the Boulder DA states that DNA has eliminated the Ramsey family as suspects in JonBenets murder. The author believes that this suspect is a serial offender and is responsible for the murder of Tracey Neef, the abduction and assault of Michalel Chandler and the Murder of Ali Berrelez. The author believes that this suspect should be vigorously considered as a suspect in the murder of JonBenet Ramsey. The families deserve closure. The public has a right to know. The suspect has not been charged and is roaming our streets.
