Fernando Wypych graduated in Chemistry - Federal University of Paraná (1984), Ms.Sc. - Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (1987); PhD - Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro/Technical University of Berlin - Germany (1992) and pos-doc in the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology - ETH (1997). Currently is full professor at the Federal University of Paraná and work in the area of natural and synthetic layered materials. In 2019 was included in the PLOS Biology database among the 100,000 most cited researchers in the world in all areas of science. Works as reviewer of 129 different scientific journals and is editor of the book: Clay Surfaces - Fundamentals and applications (2004), Academic Press. Has published 234 scientific papers, 19 book chapters, 41 patents and 8190 citations (ISI in 11/2020). Advised/co-advised 44 M.Sc. and 29 PhD students, 1 pos-doc and currently advise/co-advise 4 PhD. Rilton Alves de Freitas graduated in Industrial-Pharmacy- Federal University of Paraná (2001), Ms.Sc. - Federal University of Paraná (2000); PhD - Federal University of Paraná (2003); pos-doc in the Physics Department at Tulane University - USA (2008); pos-doc in the Department of Polymers and Colloids of Le Mans University (2014-2015). Currently is associated professor at Federal University of Paraná and work in the area of colloids and polymer sciences. Has published 89 scientific papers, 3 book chapters, 6 patents and 1278 citations (ISI in 12/2020).
