This picture book for young readers describes the life cycle of a favorite plant in gentle watercolor/ink illustrations and poetic prose. A baby dandelion seed is pulled away from his mother during a fierce windstorm. Hanging helplessly beneath a fluffy white parachute, he is carried closer and closer to the dark storm cloud overhead. Suddenly, a large raindrop forces the seed back to the ground where he snuggles into the earth and falls asleep.
