The Editors: Jürgen Elvert is professor of contemporary history and history of European integration at the University of Cologne. He is also a member emeritus of the Center for European Integration at the University of Bonn.
Sylvain Schirmann is professor of history and director of the Institute of Political Studies in Strasbourg.
