Cardiovascular disease is the main cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. The objective of this study is to establish strategies for prevention and learning about the cardiovascular risk factors that cause mortality and morbidity, as well as cardiovascular prevention, whose purpose is to reduce this morbimortality in individuals with high absolute risk and to assist those who have a high absolute risk. So is cardiovascular prevention whose purpose is to reduce the morbidity and mortality of individuals at high absolute risk and to assist those at low absolute risk to maintain it. Individuals with higher cardiovascular risk benefit more from the management of risk factors. Being of factorial origin and as a risk factor it must be considered in the context of the others. Cardiovascular risk expresses the possibility of suffering a cardiovascular disease in a certain period of time, generally established between 5 or 10 years, stratified by this risk in the (Framingham study tables).
