Heart transplantation is an alternative for people with refractory cardiovascular disease, but it entails several physical and psychological changes, and cardiac rehabilitation is a therapeutic option in this context. With the growing increase in this population, it is necessary that cardiac rehabilitation is implemented with a thorough justification of its gains. The aim of this study was to identify the appropriate rehabilitation interventions for people undergoing heart transplantation and the health gains from rehabilitation programs. Rehabilitation in heart transplant patients leads to health gains such as physiological and functional benefits and, above all, quality of life, and its use should be increased.
