Born in Blacksburg, Virginia, Ian earned his Master''s Degree in Philosophy from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and dual Bachelor''s degrees in Philosophy and Mathematics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in Blacksburg, Virginia. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas.
