There are many viral agents that have been incriminated in non A-E hepatitis. In the last few years, newly emerging viral agents such as SEN virus and TT virus have been discovered. They are single stranded non enveloped DNA viruses with different genotypes. Their actual role in developing hepatic damage remains unclear. Some studies reported that TT virus and SEN virus can develop hepatic pathogenicity and increase the severity of already exiting liver disease. On the other hand, other studies showed no effect of these viruses on liver state. This work aimed to determine the prevalence rate of TT virus and SEN virus among chronic hepatitis C infected individuals. Also, it aimed to show the relation between SEN and TT viruses infection and HCV-related chronic liver disease.
