Ganahl, SimonSimon Ganahl (Mag. DDr. phil.), born in 1981, researches and teaches at the University of Vienna as a literature and media scholar with a focus on digital humanities. He directs the digital mapping project Campus Medius and edits the peer-reviewed open-access journal Genealogy+Critique. After studies in Vienna, Hamburg, and Zurich, he obtained PhD degrees both in communication science and in German philology at the University of Vienna. He was a visiting researcher in the School of Media Studies at The New School in New York and a visiting lecturer in the Center for Digital Humanities at UCLA. His research work has received several awards and grants (e.g., APART from the Austrian Academy of Sciences and Schrödinger from the Austrian Science Fund).
