The objective of this book is to analyze the relationship between the concentration of cultural capital and regional development in Peru. To this end, different variables that make up the cultural capital of each region are identified, quantified and analyzed. Our hypothesis is that there is a positive relationship between the concentration of cultural capital and socioeconomic development. To test this assumption, the multivariate analysis method is used. Principal components are extracted from the original cultural capital variables. These components are used to construct composite indicators of cultural capital interpretable on the territory. This work is innovative because it is the first of its kind to apply factor analysis to cultural capital variables in Peru. It raises and affirms the potential contribution of Peruvian cultural heritage and identity to the country's development.
