This work is a descriptive memoir of the song Baccano!, composed for the Big Belas Band. Its main objective is to describe in detail the compositional process as well as to situate historically the two main influences on the music, the Japanese animation Baccano! and the big bands. The piece was built on two main themes, under which were composed typical jazz accompaniments and an improvisation section - a common artifice in the big band repertoire.

Hugo Leonardo Martins Correa has a degree in Composition and Conducting from the School of Music and Fine Arts of Paraná. He has a master's degree from UFPR in soundtrack composition for electronic games and is currently pursuing his doctorate in soundtrack for electronic games at UFPR.
