Born in Minbu, Magway Division, Upper Myanmar. Got Bachelor of Engineering, Mechanical Discipline in 1972 from the then Rangoon Institute of Technology. Joined Navy as an Engineer till 1992.Took part in social actions as an individual ordinary citizen since 2008 after the storm Nargis hit the country and killed hundred over thousands of countrymen.
