In this book theoretical and experimental investigations have been made into the effect of thermo-elastic behavior on the static and dynamic characteristics of thin rectangular plates at different boundary conditions. The theoretical approach was based on the theory of bending of isotropic thermo-elastic thin plates to obtain the governing differential equation.Thermal buckling equations were established for rectangular plate with different fixing edge conditions and with different aspect ratio. Expressions of the frequency equations for rectangular plate model with and without the thermoe-lastic effect for different ends conditions A numerical method using the finite-element thermal-structural analysis method was used to study the effects of plate-support conditions, plate aspect ratios on deformation, and thermal-stresses and dynamic properties .Various experimental models were tested to determine the transient temperature distributions, transient thermal strain, frequency and mode shape of heated plate. The results compared with FE results
