An Economic Analysis of broiler production in the study area revealed that total cost of broiler production per broiler was Rs. 57.64, Rs.56.45 and Rs.51.37 for small medium & large farms respectively with weight per broiler of 1.40 kg for small,1.45 kg for medium & 1.48 kg for large size farms.Cost of feed accounted for more than 60 per cent of the total cost followed by cost of chicks, about 20 per cent.Amount realised by sale of broilers formed the major source of income (about 96 per cent) in all the three size groups.Benefit cost ratio & net present value were encouraging and positive.Among the five marketing channels studied, channel I was having maximum share in consumers rupee.Shepherds marketing index was also calculated for all marketing channels.Production and marketing led constraints were also studied. It is recommended that broiler enterprise is very profitable enterprise and efforts should be made to exploit this potentia
