The benefits of breastfeeding to the infant and mother are well documented. Despite all the benefits, a general decrease in the practice of breastfeeding has been reported across certain regions and populations. If the health benefits of breastfeeding is to be optimal utilized, it is expedient to explore information on the knowledge, attitude and practice of breastfeeding positions and its association with musculoskeletal among nursing mothers. The impact of breastfeeding postures on the musculoskeletal system could be an indicator of non-adherence to breastfeeding initiatives even when its potential benefits are known. Chidozie E. Mbada is a lectural in Medical Rehabilitation Dept at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-ife, Nigeria. He is a PhD candidate in Physiotherapy at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and a fellow of the African Doctoral and Dissertaion Research Fellowship, Kenya. Oyinlola Folasade is a researcher in Medical Rehabilitation at the OAU.
