Sanjay Kumar Gupta, (M.F.Sc., Ph.D.) is a scientist at the Division of Molecular Diagnostics, Prophylactics and Nano-biotechnology, ICAR-Indian Institute of Agricultural Biotechnogy (IIAB), Ranchi Jharkhand, India. He is graduated from College of Fisheries, Panangad, Kochi, Kerala and obtained his Master’s and Doctoral degrees from Central Institute of Fisheries Education (CIFE), Mumbai. His major research area focuses on the application of omics technology for qualitative and quantitative enhancement of aquaculture production. He has published more than 60 peer reviewed international publications and has delivered numerous oral and posters presentations in diverse international meetings. Dr. Gupta has edited 04 books, authored 02 books, and published many scientific popular articles, bulletins, instruction manuals, chapters and leaflets. He is working as editor/reviewer for the various international scientific journals and has been honored with several awards of national and international repute for his outstanding contribution in the field of aquaculture. He also has extensive experience working with various aquaculture systems and the application of control measures in aquaculture health management using advanced molecular tools. He was awarded as one of the top global researchers to avail prestigious Endeavour Post-doc Fellowship by Australian Government in 2018.
Sib Sankar Giri (M.Sc., Mp.Phil., Ph.D) is a senior Research Associate in the Lab of Aquatic Biomedicine, College of Veterinary Medicine and Research Institute for Veterinary Sciences, Seoul National University (SNU), Seoul, South Korea. He received his Master of Philosophy and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Biotechnology from Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science & Technology (Erstwhile Periyar Maniammai University), India in 2008 and 2014, respectively. He has extensive research experience in Aquaculture probiotics, fish immunostimulants, microbial surfactants, and fish vaccines. He has received INSPIRE fellowship from Department of Science and Technology, Govt of India for doctoral research. He has published 97 research articles in SCIE journals and wrote three book chapters in knowledge based editions published by renowned international publishers. He co-authored a book titled “Life Within Life-A book on biodiversity”. He is editorial members of Scientific Reports-Nature group, Frontiers in Microbiology, and Frontiers in Physiology. He has worked as Assistant Research Professor at Lab of Aquatic Biomedicine of SNU. He has also received ‘Brain Pool Fellowship” from National Research Foundation, Ministry of Science, ICT, and future planning, Republic of Korea.
