Samples of 14 populations representing eleven species of Solanum were collected from their natural habitats as mature flowering plants, through 2011 to 2012, from different localities in south west of Saudi Arabia. These include two population of three species S. nigrum L., S. incanum L. and S. glabratum var. sepicula Dun., one population from eight species, S. villosum Mill., S. villosum (L.) Lam. ssp. panecum (Kirsch) Edmonds, S. coagulans Forssk., S. schimperianum Hochst. ex A. Rich., S. macracanthum A. Rich., S. torvum Swartz., S. sisymbriifolium Lam. and S. dulcamara L. Where oure study suggested that the latest three species were new record in Saudi Arabia. The study revealed that species database of some wild species of Solanum was provided in west of Saudi Arabia with emphasis on variation patterns which was a major contribution to global biodiversity information system. It was evident that ISSR, GC-MS analysis and other discontinuous markers could be used as a means of genetic distances to establish Solanum taxonomy as well as phylogenetic relationships among taxa.
