The effects of dietary supplementation of Maize (Zea mays) with Soybean (Glycerine max) and Moringa (Moringa oleifera) leaf powder on some biochemical parameters in Albino rats were investigated using standard analytical procedures. Albino rats weighing between 130-150g were grouped into six groups. Two groups were fed with maize powder supplemented with soybeans in ratios 4:1(group 2) and 3:2 (group 3); two other groups were fed with maize supplemented with Moringa oleifera in ratios 4:1 (group 4) and 9:1(group 5) respectively. Two control group were fed normal rat chow (group 1) and maize flour (group 6) respectively. The feeding lasted four weeks. Weights of rats in each group were recorded before the commencement of the feeding and weekly thereafter. Biochemical parameters including, lipid indices, serum enzyme activity, albumin and glucose level were determined. Body weight and organ weights of albino rats were studied. The weight of feed consumed by the rat was taken daily, and at the end of the second week, half of the animals were sacrificed, and the remaining half sacrificed after the fourth week.
