Originally a Doctor of Ministry project titled “Raising Up Biblical Eldership and Its Implications for Charismatic Ministry in the Local Church,” Biblical Eldership shows exactly how Kelso multiplied Spirit-filled ministry in his United Methodist church and then how his success repeated in the churches of several other pastors in his central Ohio area, when they tried his approach. The major themes emerging from the experience of Kelso and his pastoral colleagues were these: confidence in ministry, expectation in ministry, anointing in ministry, and humility.
