This is based on a true story of how several years ago, I took a decision not to go ahead with a planned marriage. I had prayed for God's peace concerning my decision for a year. At the end of the year, I felt able to leave a relationship with a good man because I believed, then and now, that my journey with him was not one of marriage but was rather one of good friendship, (united by the love of Christ which we had both received - agape & phileo love). It was a difficult decision and one that I did not take lightly but it was a decision that had to be made. The result of this decision led me through several thorny and difficult paths. There were times when I felt so alone and misunderstood, craving love and acceptance. This story tells of my journey through pain and guilt, as well as moments of despair to a place of eternal peace and joy in the Lord, to a place where I am confident in the love and grace of God, which is all I need to be all that God desires me to be!
