This novel takes the reader back to July 2nd, 1960 when the author almost drowned while swimming with friends at Oroville, California's Bedrock City Park. It describes the lives of teenagers who are trying to understand their changing lives while going through puberty, during the Cold War, before cell phones, computers, at a time when we were exploring life, uncertain of death, world politics, and young adulthood. This is a perfect re-call of what it felt like being members of the Baby Boomer generation before the death of John F. Kennedy, before the Cuban Missile Crisis, at a time when our world was being turned upside down. Life in 1960 was far different than it is today. I wrote this novel to my mother to honor her 10th birthday, in 2013. Jim E. Reames is a subject matter expert of cybernetic warfare for the U.S. government.
