Becoming His is a lesson in the unchanging character and principles of God within the Old Testament: those same principles we talk about in the pages of the New Testament. As we read through the history, we suddenly find ourselves learning lessons on what God is looking for as we grow in our faith in Him. We get clarity and understanding of some of the important ideas of being more like Christ. We may even discover a truth needed in making strong and faithful disciples. This is not a replacement for the Bible in your studies. But it can be a good complimentary resource as you read these portions of the Biblical account.
