These are induced by a great variety of activation functions deriving from the arctangent, algebraic, Gudermannian, and generalized symmetric sigmoid functions. Ordinary, fractional, fuzzy, and stochastic approximations are exhibited at the univariate, fractional, and multivariate levels. Iterated-sequential approximations are also covered.
