Hemodialysis is a widely used renal purification modality in end-stage renal failure. Chronic hemodialysis patients are particularly at risk of contracting community-acquired bacterial infections, either of their own or associated with their care. This study was a mono-centric, retrospective and descriptive study, carried out in the hemodialysis center. We recorded all bacterial infections at all sites during the period from June 2021 to June 2023. Thirty-four of the 52 chronic hemodialysis patients presented at least one bacterial infectious episode during the 48-month follow-up period (65.4%).The total number of bacterial infectious episodes was 59. The main sites of infection were the skin and vascular access, in 23.7% and 20.3% of cases respectively. Fever was present in only half the cases (49.5%). Bacteriological samples were taken in 45.8% of cases, with the germ isolated in 23.7% of cases, the most frequent being staphylococcus aureus (35.7%). 78% of cases progressed favorably.
