Susan Crenshaw has been Molly's dearest friend since childhood. Susan is a sweet Christian who has recently married and is expecting her first child. Molly feels an urgency to find love. Dr. Schneider has books to teach sign language, and the two agree to learn together in order to help Billy and his family. Irene Campbell tights Molly for the new doctor's attention. Molly decides to trust God in her decision as to whom she is to marry. She learns to love Irene and becomes her friend. Molly and the doctor's friendship soon blossom into love. She learns that she is not marrying a small town doctor who barely makes enough money to survive, but that he is from a wealthy family.
