Poseidon named it the Atlantic Island; Homer, Pausanias and the Greeks called it Chryse; Ezekiel, Jeremiah and Zechariah called it Tyrus; Socrates told Plato, who wrote the story, calling it ATLANTIS. Plato gives us the location: ..".for this sea which is within the straits of Heracles is only a harbor, having a narrow entrance...," and ..".the sea in those parts is impassable and impenetrable, because there is a shoal of mud in the way; and this was caused by the subsidence of the island." Under the subsidence of the island is a second treasury, containing many of the gold statues and artifacts that were on the surface of Atlantis, created by earthquakes and tsunamis that hit it.
