Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is an international public health problem affecting 5-10% of the world population. As kidney function declines, there is a progressive deterioration in minerals homeostasis. This study was case-control study conducted in Military hospital and Omdurman hospital within six months from October 2015 to April 2016. Aimed to assessment of bone minerals among Sudanese patients of CKD, a total of 100 patients (69 male, 31 female) and 50 healthy volunteers (30 male, 20 female) were enrolled in this study. Serum Ca2+, Po43-, Mg2+and albumin levels were estimated using BioSystem BTS-310 spectrophotometer. ALP levels were estimated using Mindray analyzer. Data analyzed using SPSS computer program. In light of our finding, CKD patients are more vulnerable to osteoporosis and vascular calcification than healthy individuals.
