This book discusses the importance of addressing posture to minimize the effects of musculoskeletal conditions, such as the Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome caused by vibrations from non-automated tool handles. The study aimed to evaluate how handle forms affect vibration reduction by increasing contact area and reducing contact pressure, ultimately investigating the ergonomic effects of using power tools for different tools and tasks related conditions. The study utilized a test that simulated the vibration through the grip of a tool to measure the vibration on the hands and shoulders of operators in three different postures and measured the displacement and velocity of the tool handle by the sensors attached to the operators' hands and shoulders. The study also measured muscle activity during each testing session and combined it with subjective assessments of perceived motion and discomfort to determine the Ergonomics effects.
