Pediatric dentistry has witnessed many developments in all the fields. Treatment of pulpally in_amed primary and permanent teeth in children presents a unique challenge to the dental clinician. Pulp diagnosis in the child is imprecise as clinical symptoms do not correlate well with histologic pulpal status. Age and behavior can compromise the reliability of pain as an indicator of the extent of pulp in_ammation.
