What is your personal view of Christianity based on? A belief has to be rooted in some type of foundation or it is little more than a fairytale. You may say that you have 2,000 years of tradition and that is good enough for you. What did the early church have for their foundation? Wasn't it just hearsay from the early apostles? No, it was the miracles. God the Father provided for the early church the ability to heal the sick, cast out devils, and bring back the dead. Those unbelievable powers or gifts gave them credibility. What gives modern day Christians credibility? What about the Bible? Doesn't that give us all we need to know? Yes, but have you really ever read the Bible to understand it? Besides those catch verses you hear Christians constantly regurgitating, have you ever read the whole thing from front to back to understand God's credibility? If you read your Bible through a couple of times and tried to live the life your Loving God would have you live, you wouldn't need to be challenged. Most so-called Christians hide behind the doctrine they and their chosen friends have accepted and think God will -see it their way- after they pass from this life. Whether you want to believe this or not, that thought process just won't hack it. God expects more Do your Christian values allow you to work (labor) toward your salvation? If not, why not? Haven't you heard the old adage, -anything worth having is worth working for?- Instead, you hide behind modern Christian tradition. It goes something like this: Christian life is all about -faith- and you can do nothing to add to it Right? Wrong I will show you in a couple of hours reading that God (the true God of the Bible) expects you to work towards your true knowledge of Him and then live it.
