In the present research, pus sample wound sample was collected and the collected samples were processed for the further bacterial isolation and identification. The isolated bacterial isolates were identified as Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhi, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Proteus sp. Antibacterial activity of the bacterial isolates was assessed by Disc diffusion method. The antibiotic Streptomycin was sensitive against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Proteus sp. and resistant to Salmonella typhi and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Ampicillin was sensitive against Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella typhi and resistant to Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Proteus sp. The antibiotic chloroamphenicol was sensitive to Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Proteus sp. and resistant to Salmonella typhi and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Tetracycline was sensitive to Salmonella typhi, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Proteus sp. and resistant to Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. The antibiotics streptomycin and chloroamphenicol showed similar sensitivity and resistant against nosocomial infection causing bacteria.
