It is a misnomer to call this book a mere introduction... This a transitional volume in the history of African pentecostalism, as one of its chief accomplishments is to raise a multitude of interpretive questions to which answers are not yet apparent. The maturity of Kalu's scholarship is evident in his grasp of an amazingly wide range of material and issues.
