David E. Cooper is Emeritus Professor of Philosophy at Durham University. He has published many books, including Philosophy: The Classic Readings (Wiley Blackwell,  2009 ed. with P.S. Fosl), World Philosophies: A Historical Introduction (Wiley Blackwell, 2 ^nd edition 2002), Existentialism: A Reconstruction (Wiley–Blackwell, 2 ^nd edition 1999), A Philosophy of Gardens (2006), and Convergence with Nature: A Daoist Perspective (2012).
