Assoc. Prof. Ar Meor Mohammad Fared is currently a lecturer at the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Design and Architecture, UPM since January 2006. He graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture in 1986 and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, USA, with a Bachelor of Architecture in 1988. He started his career as Architect in Malaysia in late 1989 working with Arkitek MAA Sdn. Bhd. In December 2000, he joined Mir Shahariman Architect as Senior Architect and later as Partner in April 2004. Currently, he practices as Sole Proprietor under the style of Meor Fared Architect. Throughout his 30 years career, he has been involved with a variety of projects ranging from bungalow to hospital complex. During his tenure as the Head of Department, he was instrumental in achieving architectural accreditation from the Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (LAM) for the architectural programmes at UPM. He was appointed as a board member of LAM from October 2013 to September 2015, from October 2017 to September 2019, and currently from October 2019 to September 2021. He has been a member of the Council of Architectural Accreditation and Education Malaysia (CAAEM) since 2012.
Mokhtar Awang is Professional Engineer and an Associate Professor at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Perak, Malaysia. He is also Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology, UK (IMarEST). He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Detroit Mercy, MI, USA, and both Master and Doctorate degrees from West Virginia University, WV, USA.
Mokhtar Awang had 6 years of experience in industry and over 18 years of academic experience in the field of finite element modelling and friction stir welding. He is a co-author of a book and the editor of 8 books related to finite element modelling and material engineering. He has also published more than eighty peer-reviewed journals and conference papers.
Dr Seyed Sattar Emamian received his doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP), Malaysia, in 2018. He is a member of Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM). He has finished his research fellow at the University of Malaya in 2019. He has published several ISI and Scopus indexed journals/proceedings as well as book chapters. His research area is welding engineering and materials science. He is currently a manager of Sigma Research and Consulting in the Netherlands.
