Low back pain (LBP) is one of the most widespread musculoskeletal disorders in the world. Globally, LBP is the greatest contributor of disability, and the 6th in terms of overall health burden. In Saudi Arabia, up to 79% of people are affected by LBP, and it is the first leading cause of years lived with disability in Saudi Arabia. Therapeutically, LBP is one of the most challenging conditions affecting all age groups. The management of LBP varies substantially among medical and health care providers within a country, as well as among countries. Early adherence to evidence-based in physical therapy management for patients with LBP has been shown to reduce health care costs and improve clinical outcomes. Several clinical practice guidelines (CPG) have been developed to standardize the care for LBP and make clear evidence-based recommendations to influence the physical therapists' clinical decision making. Early adherence to CPG for LBP has been shown to result in better treatment outcomes and reduce costs.
