Nevertheless, on making discreet inquiries, Prageeth finds that his parents had not boarded the ill-fated flight but had disappeared mysteriously in the night they were expected to arrive in at the Airport. He returns to Sri Lanka and with the help of the Police discovers that his parents were brutally murdered by the unscrupulous tenant and his brother masquerading as Engineers, who had leased their house-property with the sinister motive of gaining possession of it. The two killers were sentenced to death by the Courts but while in prison their attempt to escape from it was foiled by the prison guards who shot them down causing their instant deaths. In her advanced state of pregnancy Madhu expires due to a mysterious serious affliction, driving Prageeth to a trauma and near mental depression wherein he believes that Madhu is still alive but recovers soon due the immense love and care bestowed on him by his colleague and bosom-friend Dr. Ann who now adopts a dual role of Madhu and Ann herself and becomes his bride in his distraught mindset. At the expiry of his Visa, subsequent to giving much thought to the near connubial association he had with Dr. Ann, he returns to Sri Lanka and establishes his own Eye Hospital in memory of his late parents and late wife and marries his devoted Medical Assistant Subhani who resembles Madhu in many respects to whom he narrates his pathetic past. With the passage of time, one day, a 5 year old cute girl is brought to his Eye Hospital to heal her sudden blindness as she begins to relate her previous life stating that in her former life too, Dr. Prageeth had cured her eyes when she was his lover and later wife.
