The main objective of this book is to demonstrate the Priesthood of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in its fullest scope. Normally it is presented in fragments or segments to adress specific callings and functions in the Church. This book is written in the narrative to show how the Priesthood was given to mankind and how it has affected people and societies, but not making any particular person the hero or heroin. In this story we see how God's religion has been established in the Old and New Testaments, compared to modern times. We can also see how the creation process is one eternal round starting in the heavens and ending with our return to the heavens, and moving on to eternal progression. We see the corruption of true religion and how it has been restored time and again through history and we see why it was necessary to be restored again before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. The title of the book was taken from a comment made by Joseph Smith adressing the short-sightedness of his friends, and the subtitle implies there is a great deal more at hand than what we normally understand.
