Teinosuke Otani, Professor Emeritus of economics at Hose University, Tokyo, is the author of Marx’s Theory of Association and Marx’s theory of Interest-bearing Capital (in Japanese). He is also a member of the editorial committee of the Marx-Engels-Gesamtausgabe (MEGA). He was President of the Japan Society of Political Economy, a Japanese scholarly organization that boasts of just under 1,000 members.
