At the same time, the means of communication must become easier to use and more secure, because the statically localized workplace of today will dissolve in the near future into a distributed and highly mobile multi-media communication platform. André Meyer got his Ph.D. in computer science from the Universityof Zürich. He worked as a senior scientist on research inintelligent distributed systems at Philips Research and TNO formore than a decade and created an open-source multi-agentdevelopment platform. Currently, he is a patent examiner for theEuropean Patent Office.
