Yogesh Sharma is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee. He pursued his M.Tech. and Ph.D. from IIT Roorkee and the National University of Singapore, respectively. His areas of research interest lie in experimental condensed matter physics with special relevance to energy storage. He has authored more than 45 research articles in reputed journals and is a member of many professional societies, including the Electrochemical Society (USA), Material Research Society Singapore and the Indian Physics Association.
G. D. Varma is a Professor in the Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee. He pursued his M.Sc. and Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University (BHU). He has extensive research experience in the area of experimental condensed matter physics, centring on the synthesis and structural characterization of high temperature superconductors, colossal magnetoresistive materials and carbon nanotubes. He has authored more than 60 research articles in reputed journals.
Amartya Mukhopadhyay is an Associate Professor in the Department of Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science, IIT Bombay. He has done his M.Tech. and Ph.D. from IIT Kanpur and the University of Oxford, UK, respectively. His areas of research interest include materials for electrochemical energy storage and advanced structural ceramics/composites. He has authored 4 book chapters and more than 70 research papers in reputed journals, as well as holds 3 patents.
Venkataraman Thangadurai is a Professor and Associate Head in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science in the University of Calgary, Canada, and the Associate Director of Calgary Advanced Energy Storage & Conversion Research – Technology. He pursued his Master’s and Ph.D. from Muthurangam Government Arts College (University of Madras), India and Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India respectively. His research interests are in the area of solid-state ionic technologies, and in particular, materials development for energy conversion, storage and environmental applications. He has been the recipient of the Keith Laidler Award by the Canadian Society for Chemistry and the Outstanding Invention of 2013 by the University of Maryland, USA. He holds 4 patents and has authored more than 130 research papers in reputed journals and 2 book chapters.
