Pumping power dissipation during the transportation of liquids in strategic pipelines, was and still one of the most power consuming sectors in the industry due to the turbulent mode these liquids are transported with. The addition of minute quantities of polymeric additives to the liquids flowing in the pipe helped in improving the flow, but it also changes the apparent physical properties of the transported liquid. The solubility of any material in the transported media was a concrete condition to introduce it as drag reducing agent. In the present Book, insoluble drag reducing agents are introduced. Those agents are driven from agricultural and industrial wastes. The experimental results did prove the high abilities of these new flow improvers to act as a powerful drag reducing agents despite the type of the transported liquid.

Associate Prof. Dr. Hayder A. Abdulbari was born in Baghdad, 1973. He is working as Associated Professor in Chemical Engineering in University Malaysia Pahang. His research is in the flow enhancement in pipelines and green technologies. He did register more than 18 patents during his carrier, and his projects won a large number of awards worldwide.
