Susan Duxbury was born in Shipley, West Yorkshire,England, and educated at Salt's Grammar School in the famousmodel village of Saltaire; then Leeds College of Technologywhere she gained a diploma in hotel management. Afteremigrating to New Zealand, she travelled to Australia and mether German-born husband. They lived and worked in theAustralian outback, where she began writing her first book.She is also a successful short-story writer and activelyengaged in German/British relations; has two sons and lives withher husband in north Germany.
