Due to the lack of listing in the capital markets, the hotel industry largely raises funds through limited financial sources including owner financing, trade credit and bank term loans. The high level of accounts receivables owed to the hotels industry affects the overall cash flow position of the industry. The purpose of this work was to establish the determinants of accounts receivables management in the hotel industry in Kenya. The work sought to address technology influences, the effect of size of the organization, the effects of the marketing channels, the effects of management structures and the policy influences as specific objectives for the study.
