This book is a qualitative analysis of the lives of children of Afghan refugees in Pakistan who are involved in garbage and rag collection for earning of some livelihood. In this document the family backgrounds of these children are explored and the demographics of their families are analyzed. In addition, the circumstances they are facing being on the street were also tried to know. Most of the qualitative methods were applied to observe the phenomenon and collect the relevant information. The process of scavenging was explored in detail and causes behind involvement of children in scavenging are dug out and consequences of being scavenging child are highlighted. It was found that scavenging is somehow a profession by choice but these children are also facing a lot violence and chance getting engaged in delinquent activities.
