Molecular typing of Aeromonas isolates by multiplex PCR assay exhibited various sizes of amplification products as predicted from the design of the primers. The assay used for the molecular typing of all the 38 isolates revealed that all the isolates belonged to Aeromonas spp.The alkali-lyses method of plasmid DNA isolation resulted in high yield of plasmids.The RAPD revealed that amplicon sizes ranged from 250 bp to 2.9 Kb with a common >250 bp fragments in all the isolates and 75% similarity was observed in all the representative isolates.Results of mouse paw oedema test indicated that 21 isolates out 38 tested were positive in this test.
