David Vannerley interviewedthe first OLMs in Canterbury Diocese to explore theirinitial ministerial experience presenting an unusualacademic study of such a clergy group. The datagenerated by the interview process is then subject tocritical analysis that makes use of recent Anglicanthinking on ministry, especially the most recentordination services and the Canterbury model of theMarks of the Priestly Person. This book will be helpto those engaged in exploring ministerial theology aswell as those involved in the selection or initialand post-ordination training of clergy. Rev. David Vannerley M.Phil., BA(Hons), a priest in the Anglican
Diocese of Canterbury, was closely involved with the beginning of
the Canterbury Ordained Local Ministry scheme. His academic
interests include Christian History & Traditions and Ministerial
Theology. This book presents research undertaken at Canterbury,
Christ Church University.
